In light of events recently reported in the media regarding tax savings schemes that have instead resulted in significant tax reassessment bills and penalties issued by the Canada Revenue Agency to many hardworking residents of Windsor, Dale Barrett, Canadian tax lawyer and principal at Barrett Tax Law, will be giving a free, emergency tax information seminar on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Windsor at the Giovanni Caboto Club at 6:30pm.
Dale Barrett will give expert legal advice to taxpayers who have found themselves in dispute with the CRA due to invalid tax savings programs, such as the Fiscal Arbitrators tax program promoted by DSC Lifestyle Services, a Canadian company with ties to the Windsor community. The tax seminar will also provide information about tax shelter programs and charitable donation schemes Windsorites may be considering as well as give tax savings tips that may be employed without having to participate in schemes or pay commissions to a third party.
The Barrett Tax Law seminar does not require the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement or the divulging of personal information in order to attend. Reservations are not required, although it is advised to confirm attendance to secure a seat.
